The Nash County Courthouse is the centerpiece of the county seat. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This 64,000 SF, 3-story facility houses courtrooms, Sheriff’s facilities, offices, conference rooms, records rooms, document storage, evidence storage and processing areas. This project replaced the building’s aged and poorly performing HVAC system, as well as made lighting, fire alarm and cosmetic changes throughout. Introduction of new code compliant systems into an older facility was a challenge, as was designing the project into phases that would allow for occupation during construction.
