With technology-enabled “smart” classrooms, eLearning support resources, an Individualized Learning Center, and open computer lab, Building F serves as a vibrant focal point of Wake Tech’s rapidly expanding Northern Campus. Outdoor spaces, pathways, and pedestrian bridges are specifically designed to connect Building F with the rest of the campus. Distinctive features include a two-story library and learning commons with immense skylights for ample daylight, and solar shades installed on the south side to reduce energy consumption. Additional spaces include instructional labs, offices, group study rooms, and disability support services. This building is LEED Silver Certified and also received the Sir Walter Raleigh Award for Community Appearance in October 2019.

Stanford White engineering services include mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, special systems, site lighting, and blue light phone design. In addition, consultations on solar shade design plus security for Building F and the parking deck are featured.
