Constructed in two phases, this new standalone nuclear medicine facility resides adjacent to the main hospital. Feature spaces include a Linear Accelerator, Simulator, control rooms, mold room, dosimitry area, infusion area, exam rooms, nurse’s stations, pharmacy, lab, medical records, linen rooms, offices and conference rooms.
More than 50 plumbing fixtures support this facility. Cooling is provided by two rooftop systems with 22 VAV terminals, each with hot water reheat. Heating is provided by a gas-fired exterior boiler. A packaged chiller provides process chilled water for the Linear Accelerator. A DDC control system links HVAC operation to the main hospital. Electrical system design includes interior lighting, site lighting, power, nurse call, public address, patient camera monitoring and telephone/data. Special attention was also given to the electrical power/control requirements of the Linear Accelerator and Simulator.
