STUDENT HOUSING PLANNING
ASSESSMENT1.8M SF, 71 buildings
This project focus was to evaluate and report on student housing needs for life safety systems, specifically fire alarm, mass notification and fire sprinklers. The goal of the study was to assist Duke University with clarifying future life safety projects by establishing facility needs, identifying appropriate design solutions and defining budgets. All 71 residence buildings, ranging in age from 3 to 115 years, were assessed by a team of Stanford White staff. A several hundred page report was compiled outlining findings, cost opinions and pre-design drawings.
