Over the course of several projects through the years, Stanford White has engineered improvements to many of the 27 recognized State Historic Sites: Alamance Battleground (18th century), Bennett Place (1846), Charlotte Hawkins Brown (1902), Disosway House at Tryon Palace (1880), Horne Creek Farm (1852), House in the Horseshoe (1773), Reed Gold Mine (1803), Duke Homestead (1852), State Capitol (1794), and Town Creek Indian Mound (date unknown).
