The Governor’s Mansion is a historic centerpiece in downtown Raleigh that serves as a residence, along with office and gathering spaces. Over the course of several projects, improvements were made to severely aged mechanical and electrical systems.  Several construction phases were planned in order to limit facility downtime and disruption.  Renovations include fire alarm replacement, ductwork refurbishment (cleaning and resurfacing to remediate environmental concerns), replacement of 18 air-handling units, new plumbing, chiller replacement, outside-air ventilation improvements, heat exchanger replacement, new telecommunications wiring, security system improvements, electrical service replacement and remediation of code violations.
