Feature spaces in this new regional branch library include main reading, quiet study, children’s area, story-time, activity/meeting room, conference, computer and staff support areas.

Plumbing utilities for this site include a sewage lift station and domestic water booster pump system.  A blend of variable air volume and constant volume air handling unit systems serve the library with heating and cooling provided by a boiler and chiller respectively.  A humidity control system is provided for the main book stack area where moisture level maintenance is paramount.  Electrical system design includes fire alarm, building security, book theft detection, voice reinforcement and a well-grounded power supply.  The telecommunications infrastructure is modeled after the latest standards and includes 240 wired outlets for ultimate flexibility.  The lighting design not only complements the open space architecture, but satisfies both the high level lighting demands in the book stack area, as well as the low level, non-glare lighting needs in computer areas.
